DETAILED ITINERARY
Ha Long Bay, located in the
Gulf of Tonkin, covers an area of 1500 square km. with more than a thousand
limestone peaks soaring from its crystalline emerald water. The calm sea
provides an ideal location for sea kayaking as we paddle through a maze of
islets amid dramatic natural scenery. With our modern kayaking equipment, we
are able to maximize on speed and maneuverability as we paddle through the
open sea and explore the many hidden lagoons and stalagmite caves that are
difficult to access by any other means. After a day of paddling, we unwind
on a deserted beach on one of Halong's many islands and enjoy dinner before
retiring to sleep under a blanket of stars. This tour is ideal for those
people who have very limited time in their schedule. Combining the best of
sea kayaking and camping it allows the novice and the experienced kayakers
to sample the delights of this sport in some of Vietnam's most stunning
scenery. Our equipment includes modern Zebec Kayaks, which are lightweight,
stable and safe with lightweight aluminium paddles. All passengers and
guides are supplied with modern, international standard buoyancy vests. We
also use lightweight tents, all of which are fitted with mosquito screens.
In keeping with our philosophies on safety, our guides have been trained in
basic first aid and CPR by an international medical clinic.
ITINERARY
Day 1: Hanoi - Ha Long City (Lunch & dinner included)
Pick up you at your hotel in Hanoi depart for Ha Long City, about four 3
drive away. Short rest on half way to Halong in a Humanity center. Upon
arrival, transfer to a private boat for a cruise around Ha Long Bay with a
delicious local seafood lunch served on board. Enjoy the kayaking in the
afternoon until Sun Set on Halong Bay. Dinner and overnight on boat.
Day 2: Ha Long Bay (Breakfast, lunch & dinner included)
After breakfast, the junk set up to Quan Lan Island - the Island, which is
not touristy and there are many beautiful beaches. Walking around the
Island, resting inside the casuarinas forest. Having lunch. In the
afternoon, get on boat again, continue traveling around the bay to Nam Cat
beach. Set up a camp on Nam cat beach. Dinner and overnight on boat or camp.
Day 3: Nam Cat Beach - Ho Ba Ham Island (Breakfast, lunch & dinner We
break camp after breakfast, and load camping equipment and personal effects
onto the support vessel, before paddling to Ho Ba Ham Island. We set up camp
and have lunch before the option of additional kayaking to explore the
surrounding area in the afternoon. After our local cooks have prepared our
evening meal there is time to sit around the camp for some cultural
exchanges with our guides and support staff. Overnight on boat or camp.
Day 4: Ho Ba Ham Island - Ha Long - Hanoi (Breakfast & lunch
included)
Following breakfast this morning, we
break camp, load our camping equipment onto the support vessel, and kayak
back to Ha Long city for lunch. In the afternoon come back Hanoi with
crossing Dong Trieu Ceramic Village (optional). Arrive in Hanoi by 17.00 pm.
